Castleton

Castleton

The Castle is on a headland about 3 miles away from the town of Castleton from which the town gets its name. The town is situated on higher ground above the station with access to it from both higher and lower levels. The station forms a terminal junction for the GWR & Southern Railways with the Southern branch to Stonebridge.

A lot of the kit-built buildings have been enhanced with the addition of timber cladding (farm buildings), roofing felt (masking tape!) wood dye, scenic materials and various paints.  The timber yard hiding the control panel is scratch built out of various timbers, card and plasticard.  Scenic materials, horsehair & static grass of various sizes and colours provide the landscapes and a scratch-built tree for the park.
