The club is not confined to any specific scale or location and there is a range of interests including garden gauge*, O, OO, n-gauge, and narrow-gauge.
Facilities in the club are divided to the three rooms that make up the Old Band Hut.
The main modelling room is 26ftx12ft (8 x 3.66 metres) and houses the club’s new O gauge layout ‘Mere Abbas’ (under construction), the ‘Blackmore Vale’ exhibition layout (stored), and the new exhibition OO layout ‘Three Bridges by the Sea’. It also has an engineering and woodworking area.
We also have the club room 16ftx12ft (5 x 3.66 metres). This is a fully carpeted room that has a small galley, library and the clubs two other layouts that allow members to run their OO or N gauge rolling stock.
Finally, the clubhouse also has a toilet and washbasin facilities and members with keys have 24/7 access to the clubhouse and it’s facilities.
We meet from 7-9 pm every Wednesday throughout the year.
The club also has a large collection of model railway books, DVDs and a wealth of knowledge available to all.
