This is to be a fold up layout consisting a 4’x2″ basewith 2′ extension on both ends that fold up with the help of hinged pillars at the joints. (This will give enough height to clear the modelling on the 4’x2″ base when folded).

Suggestions of the type of layout have been asked for and several items have been discussed. Notably:

1. A coal mine
2. A rural setting with undulating hills and a river/lake
